Committees

Every member must be a part of a committee. Here are the current choices:

Presidential Committee

This committee is committed to helping the President and Vice President in planning, preparing, and hosting chapter events. This mainly includes large projects such as the College of Engineering Monte Carlo Night and the College of Engineering Awards Banquet, since they are socials for the entire College instead of just the Tau Beta Pi chapter.

Initiation Committee

This committee is committed to helping the Initiation Chair[s] with all initiation preparation, reporting, and contacts. Members help to write and distribute all personalized letters to eligible and elected persons, as well as setup for the electee meeting Smoker.

Outreach Committee

This committee is required to tutor at the College of Engineering. They are paid $10/hr to tutor all engineering related course material Sunday-Thursday from 3-9pm. They are also involved with outreach to local high schools–tutoring and AP Review sessions upon request.
